How to Make Money as a Instagram Influencer

Published

on

With influencer marketing growing in popularity and businesses investing heavily in it, it has evolved into a lucrative method for individuals to make money.

So, how much money can you make being an influencer?

If a person or company has a large following and an engaged audience, they may demand high fees.

The cost of posting on Instagram varies greatly, depending on the influencer. Paid advertising might range from $75 to $3,000 per post. Even if you are at the lower end of the spectrum, it is still a significant investment for just one Instagram post.

This is the most likely explanation for why so many individuals have chosen this path, to become social media influencers, make money on Instagram, and gain prominence. However, it is not simple to become an Instagram influencer with a large following. It takes a lot of time and effort to get to a point where you can influence your social media followers.

But, if this is something you truly want to do, we’ve got you covered.

In this article, I’ve compiled a comprehensive list of things you can do to become an Instagram influencer and generate money.

Let’s have a look at the reasons why Instagram influencer success can be difficult to achieve, as well as what it takes to become one. Let’s get started.

The majority of brands, regardless of their size or industry, want to expand their reach through Instagram. You must first focus on the platform from a content perspective to develop your audience and capture new followers. While this may sound simple if you have an existing following, building engaging material that keeps your current fans engaged is much more difficult than it appears

How to Become an Instagram Influencer

Here’s how to become an Instagram influencer:

1. Choose a Niche You’re Passionate About

The first step toward becoming an Instagram influencer is to choose a niche that reflects your personality. This should be something you’re enthusiastic about. Something in which you have a lot of expertise and enthusiasm.

It doesn’t matter why someone else is successful; you should not be so as well.

So, what should you do now?

There are several variables to consider when trying to figure out how best to use your Instagram account. Once you’ve determined who should be on there and what posts they’ll make, it’s time for the difficult part: working out how you’re going to get them in front of people’s attention. To become an Instagram influencer in any area, you

Choose a subject that you truly enjoy. Perhaps you’re good at DIY projects? Or maybe you love food and have a lot of interest in various cuisines? Maybe you’re interested in fashion and are always up to date on the newest trends?

Whatever genuinely interests you should be reflected in your Instagram posts, not simply random material.

Your content topic should reflect the interests of your potential customers. You can’t be general, though; you have to pick a specific area such as “entrepreneurs” or “small businesses.”

An Instagram influencer that specializes in food, travel, and lifestyle, her feed has a nice blend of material that relates to all three themes.

2. Create a Noteworthy Bio

After you’ve chosen a topic, build an appealing Instagram account.

The first thing you should concentrate on is developing an Instagram bio that will instantly pique people’s interest. It should tell your tale in a way that entices readers.

What is the significance of this? Remember, one of the first things that a company or potential followers see on your account is your bio. So if you want to understand how to become an Instagram influencer and make money, you must first understand how to create a compelling Instagram bio.

Example:

Helene Sula, a travel blogger and influencer, has an interesting Instagram bio. This social media star has cleverly used the term “travel blogger” in her name field, so that it appears when people perform searches on Google for such terms.

She tells her story of how she moved to Germany to explore Europe and leave everything else behind, except for her dogs and spouse. Isn’t it remarkable?

3. Share Your Stories

If you believe that by sharing photographs on Instagram, you can become an influencer overnight, you’re in for a surprise. The captions that go with those photos are just as essential as the images themselves. Use them to tell your stories and interact with your social media followers on a personal level. Give them a cause to trust you, follow you

However, in your attempt to pique their interest, don’t forget to be genuine. Because it will be quickly apparent. Instead, tell stories about yourself in a way that your social media followers find entertaining yet genuine.

Example:

For example, an amazing tale from a travel blogger. This social media celebrity discusses how she travels with a pre-existing medical condition. The post demonstrates that the post has a high level of engagement, which suggests that her social media followers liked it.

When companies collaborate with influencers, they place a higher premium on the social media interaction rate than the number of followers.

4. Make Your Instafeed Appealing

This is one of the prerequisites to learn how to be an Instagram influencer. When viewed as a whole, your entire feed should appeal, not just each photo individually.

That’s why, as you add photos to your feed, they should all appear well-balanced.

So, what can you do?

Many Instagram influencers use a certain style of editing to make sure the colors and composition are consistent in their photos. You may modify your pictures with applications like VSCO or Lightroom, or you may just apply the built-in Instagram filters.

Also, be sure that your shots are taken in high-resolution and with adequate lighting to make them appear excellent.

Example:

There is an Instafeed where this celebrity’s account  maintains consistent tones. This gives his Instafeed an unforgettable aesthetic appeal and makes it look beautiful as well.

5. Post Content Consistently

If you want to learn how to be an Instagram influencer, you must maintain a steady stream of material. The majority of Instagram influencers post on a daily or every-two-day basis. Some individuals, on the other hand, publish several times each day or even once a week. According to studies, increasing the number of times you post

Because it must be something that you can actually follow through on. Setting an unachievable goal will not assist you in any manner.

You can use tools like Buffer, Planoly, Preview, or Ripl to schedule your postings if you have trouble sticking to a plan.

These sites allow you to write your material ahead of time and schedule the posting dates and times. So you don’t have to, but your stuff gets published automatically.

Planoly and Instagram’s own photo editor, InstaPreview, are both free to use. For a single Instagram account, you may use Planoly for 30 photos each month.

For free, you may publish up to 10 articles on any three of your social media platforms using the Buffer Post Planner.

Ripl offers monthly and yearly subscriptions for $14.99 and $69.95 per month, respectively, as well as a free restricted plan with limited capabilities.

What’s more?

Keep in mind that while creating material is important, so is getting it out there. The material you put up must be grammatically correct and of high quality. You may use tools like ProWritingAid to ensure that your content’s quality is excellent.

This tool checks your grammar and style, as well as assists you in finding the appropriate words for your material. As a result, you’ll be able to create high-quality Instagram posts.

6. Choose the Right Hashtags

Using hashtags is the most important tip anybody can give you for how to become an Instagram influencer. Hashtags are essential since they aid in the discoverability of your material by other Instagram users.

On Instagram, you can include a maximum of 30 hashtags in a single post, but I recommend using around 10-20. But what kind of hashtags should you use?

Keep in mind that hashtags with a lot of search activity aren’t always beneficial to your business. Because high search volumes imply intense competition as well. As a result, the likelihood of your post getting discovered via those hashtags is slim.

Instead, Viglink recommends using hashtags with decent search traffic and maximizing the probability of appearing in the top postings. Use a range of hashtags, each with a minimum search traffic of 10,000 to 1 million, if possible. But not more than a million is ideal.

But how is it possible to find reliable hashtags?

It’s recommended to use HashtagsForLikes to find the best hashtags for your Instagram posts.

The ultimate objective of hashtag research is to discover the most popular hashtags that are relevant to your company and target audience. How do you get started? Begin with a list of all important hashtags using an expert keyword tool like Hashtagify.com, which also keeps track of when specific hashtags were used in the past.

Example:

The hashtag #adventurecouple, for example, is used in this post by an influencer. This is the most popular item with a search volume of more than 105,000 for the hashtag #adventurecouple.

7. Get a Business Account

If you want to learn how to be an Instagram celebrity, you’ll need a business account for your Instagram. There are several advantages to switching from a personal account to one that is company-owned in addition to numerous additional benefits.

What are they?

The most significant advantage is that you’ll be able to access Instagram Analytics with a company account. You’ll be able to view not just your follower demographics, but also which pieces are getting more interaction. You’ll also be able to see when and where you get the most engagement.

If you want to be an Instagram influencer, you must first understand your target demographic and figure out what content they respond best to.

When it comes to appealing to businesses for collaboration, follower characteristics are really important. Because statistics have more weight than words.

The second advantage of a business account is the capacity to run advertisements. If you wish, you may promote one of your articles in order to gain additional attention.

Getting an Instagram business account is a necessary stage if you want to be an Instagram influencer.

8. Leverage Instagram Stories

Instagram Stories are without a doubt the most popular feature on Instagram right now. More and more people and influencers are jumping on board with them. In reality, every day more than 500 million Instagram users utilize them. As a result, they’re an excellent way to increase followers and achieve visibility.

Even people that aren’t following you can find you on Instagram Stories. You may be discovered by more individuals if you include hashtags or locations in your Instagram Stories. If you have 10,000+ followers,

What’s more, you ask?

You may even tag others on your Stories and shout out to other accounts, which is not only a wonderful method to develop friendships but also to increase your own following. Because those people will almost certainly return the kindness. And this increases your exposure significantly.

Instagram Stories is a fantastic marketing tool. It has several advantages, one of which is that you may share more frequently on Instagram Stories than on other platforms like Facebook and Twitter. Because of these benefits, many influencers use Instagram Stories. You should start using Instagram Stories right now if you want to become an Instagram influencer.

9. Engage Meaningfully

People are the center of social media. The manner in which you interact with others is what matters most when it comes to being an Instagram influencer. Make a point of responding to people who comment on your photos. Also, reciprocate by liking and commenting on their content.

Here’s a list of things to do to increase the rate at which your content is engaged:

  • Include a call-to-action in your caption
  • Post at a time when you’re likely to get maximum engagement (use insights if you have a Business Account to find the best times)
  • Host giveaways and contests
  • Use polls in Instagram Stories
  • Follow similar accounts and engage with their content
  • Use popular and relevant hashtags or create your own hashtags

The “Explore” option on Instagram can help you discover material to interact with. You may now follow hashtags, which will bring relevant content to your feed.

10. Tag Relevant Brands and Contact Them

The first stage in learning how to become an Instagram influencer is to develop your followers organically and engage them. The second, and most essential for some, is to make money as an influencer.

So, once you’ve built a following of more than a thousand people and have a decent interaction rate, it’s time to get brand exposure. The simplest method is to tag brands in your photos so they notice you. Brands sometimes include such photographs on their Instagram profile for the purpose of increasing your visibility. What else are you able to do?

You can also send direct messages to influencers in your field that you believe are relevant. Especially if you’ve seen them work with other figures in your area. Make a pitch that explains why you’re contacting them and what you can provide them. I’m not implying it’s simple, but you could be pleasantly surprised at the replies if you try.

You may use platforms like Grin, InsightPool, HYPR, InfluencerBay, TRIBE, and TapInfluence to discover and engage with relevant businesses.

Some of these platforms need you to have a certain number of followers to be able to participate in campaigns. So, use this channel when you have reached a certain follower count.

11. Do Not Buy Followers

I’m a firm believer that content is king, but I’ve seen many Instagram influencers make this mistake to pave a simple route to stardom. Paid followers are useless to you. Organic is the only way to go if you want to be an Instagram influencer and earn money.

Yes, I understand how tough it is and that it won’t happen all at once. But there’s no such thing as a simple road to success. Paid followers might harm your development since they will be unengaged. As a result, your follower count will rise without any significant change in engagement levels.

What’s more?

Furthermore, identifying influencers with paid followers is not difficult for companies. And if someone finds out that you have a large number of phony followers, your reputation in the business may be damaged. This might have a significant impact on all of your future partnerships, or the lack thereof.

Getting caught with paid followers might be a hindrance to your ability to become an influencer. If you truly want to achieve the status of an Instagram influencer, you need to do it the correct way.

Ready to Get Started Earning Money on Instagram?

It’s true that you can’t become an Instagram influencer overnight. To become an Instagram influencer, you’ll need to be patient and ensure that you follow the above guidelines.

It might take a while, but you will undoubtedly begin to see the effects. I’ve seen and helped a lot of people land brand partnerships in just a few months after following these guidelines. There’s no reason why you can’t do so as well.

Vinco Ventures Co-CEO Ted Farnsworth Sets The Record Straight On ‘Hostile Takeover,’ Sends Message To Shareholders

Published

on

*This interview has been condensed for clarity*

Recently-appointed Vinco Ventures co-CEO Ted Farnsworth apologized today to shareholders after “rogue” independent director John Colucci accused the veteran executive of planning a hostile takeover and made a series of false statements in an unauthorized company press release.
Farnsworth via his ZASH Global Media and Entertainment Company created ZVV Media Partners, a joint venture between Zash and Vinco Ventures, and delivered the joint venture’s most prized assets. ZVV Media Partners acquired AdRizer, a leading ad-tech publisher and analytics solution with a focus on revenue attribution, and Lomotif, the rapidly-growing video platform rivaling Tik Tok.
Unhappy with the delays in finalizing the joint venture (Farnsworth feels the independent directors were “dragging their feet”), the 60-year-old financier and entrepreneur was nominated to the role of co-Chief Executive Officer to “shepherd” through the close.
A July 22 8K (SEC EDGAR) filings confirmed Farnsworth was elected as co-CEO of Vinco, Lisa King was elected as President of ZVV, which holds prized assets of ZASH, Lomotif, and AdRizer, and Colucci was voted to step down as an independent director.
On this day, Vinco (BBIG) was trading at $1.10. But now, after Colucci saw the appointment differently and accused Farnsworth of masterminding a so-called hostile takeover, shareholders have seen the stock price implode hitting a 52-week low (0.79) at the close of trading on July 26 (down -55.25% year-to-date).
In an unauthorized company press release issued by Colucci, it claimed a number of executive level officers were fired and made erroneous statements about the company’s finances.
Breaking his silence on the matter, Farnsworth told Feed Layer in an interview: “First of all, let me apologize to the shareholders of Vinco Ventures. I mean, it looks like a circus is going on here.
“This deal has been out there for a year and a half, and I believe the Vinco shareholders have a right to know what’s going on. The delay is just too long.”
According to Farnsworth, Colucci — a 42-year-old with seemingly no public company experience — joined the Vinco board as an independent director to explain data to the other board members. He started in the role around six weeks ago and approximately two weeks in, the board hired one of the top independent legal firms to investigate Colucci’s independence.
“We hired one of the top firms in the country and they came back with serious reservations,” Farnsworth said, claiming Colucci refused to cooperate fully with the independent counsel and so was marked by the law firm as a “negative inference,” and they did not believe he was independent.
“Our corporate counsel sent out a letter to the company saying Colucci needed to step down as independent director immediately because we believe he doesn’t qualify as an independent,” Farnsworth continued, adding he believes Colucci did not disclose certain third-party transactions.
“It’s about the disclosure. The bottom line is it was a lack of disclosure so when our lawyers said to have him step down as independent director and take an administrative leave of absence, instead, he authorizes a press release without required company approvals.
“People might say Colucci can be a very charming guy and I would agree, but smart people see right through that.”
Farnsworth admits he was concerned by Colucci’s disturbing behavior in the build up to the public smear against him, and says he thinks Colucci’s lack of experience in the complex world of public companies, rules of NASDAQ, SEC regulations and laws, is behind the sudden coup attempt.
“Fast-forward to where we are today, John Colucci is not qualified to be an independent director. Especially if he’s claiming to be CEO. He’s sitting here just blocking the company right now from getting work done and damaging shareholder value for the shareholders of Vinco Ventures,” Farnsworth said.
“Then he comes out with this accusation of a ‘thwarted hostile takeover from the Farnsworth Group.’ Well, if you know Wall Street, a hostile takeover is when they come in to buy your company and management doesn’t want you in there. This deal has been out there for a year and a half and it can’t be hostile because I was the one who raised the money and brought in all the assets – Lomotif, AdRizer, etc. – and closed on these. So there’s no way that’s hostile.”
Farnsworth said employees of Vinco started a petition about refusing to work with Colucci.
“The only ones that are suffering here are the Vinco shareholders. That’s really troubling to me where they have a right to know what we’re doing, how it’s going to happen, how we’re closing. I can tell you certain documents have been with the independent directors for the last several months to close these things out. It’s just a game they’re playing and now I’m calling them out on it because the company is owned by the shareholders. It’s not owned by John Colucci.
“When you look at it, it’s really him doing a hostile takeover. This is all about his ego and it really is a power grab.”
In response to the unauthorized press release that Vinco immediately took it down from its investor relations website, Farnsworth said: “John Colucci has run rogue. I’m still co-CEO as long as the shareholders will have me as co-CEO, I’ll be there. The chairman Rob Vanderbilt is still chairman of the company and as long as they keep him there and Lisa King, she’s still a director.”
“We are here for the Vinco shareholders supporting anything they stand for. If anything changes I’ll be the first one to tell them.”

The Real Deal on a Four-Day Workweek

Published

on

For many people, it’s difficult to imagine a work week that doesn’t begin on Monday and end on Friday. For decades, millions of people across the world have built their week around Monday through Friday. However, as the pandemic continues to change Americans’ attitudes toward work, many are reconsidering how they may balance work and life.

After all of this research, I discovered that the concept of a five-day workweek was first proposed as early as the 1860s by many labor organizations in the United States seeking to pass legislation for an eight-hour working day. The Fair Labor Standards Act was amended in 1938 to limit the workweek to 40 hours per week, which resulted in the Monday through Friday, five-day work week that is well known today, according to Business Insider.

Despite the passage of this law, many individuals are still compelled to work more than 40 hours per week. According to a Gallup poll conducted in 2014, the typical salaried employee put in around 49 hours each week. Furthermore, according to Vox, workers are still clocking more than 40 hours per week even during the COVID-19 epidemic. Many people feel that achieving a work-life balance is difficult because they are either working from home or doing a hybrid arrangement that includes both in-office and at-home work.

A four-hour workweek might be in your future

In the previous decade, businesses and nations all over the world have started to reconsider the five-day workweek. More than 2,500 Icelandic employees were involved in a research in 2015 and 2019 that introduced them to a four-day workweek rather than the usual five-day week. The study’s findings suggested that those who took part in it reported feeling less stress and a better work-life balance, while their employers claimed that their productivity remained the same or improved. Many other countries around the world, such as New Zealand, Singapore, and Spain, subsequently looked into mandating a four-day workweek as a result of these studies. According to The Guardian, several American businesses, including Bolt Electric and Panasonic Electronics, are already adopting the four-day workweek. Microsoft, which offers a four-day workweek for its workers in Japan, states that the four-day workweek has boosted output by 40%.

Although many individuals tout the advantages of switching to a four-day week in place of a five-day one, the United States government has yet to push through any legislation establishing such a schedule in the country. But this may soon change, as more effort is put into protecting employee rights. The Great Resignation, which has seen millions of Americans leave their jobs in the past year, and the current movement for worker rights that has necessitated wage increases in many states have the potential to push forward further workplace reform in the near future, according to Vox.
