On Sunday, a family attorney for Ezra Blount said he had died at Texas Children’s Hospital in Houston. His death brought the overall death count to 10.
“Tonight, our city grieves for his mother, father, grandparents, other relatives, and classmates. They will require all of our attention in the months and years to come.” Sylvester Turner, the mayor of Houston, said on Twitter.
On November 5, during a performance by Travis Scott, the festival’s founder and main attraction, Ezra was placed in a medically induced coma after sustaining serious injuries in the crush of fans.
Treston Blount, Ezra’s father, wrote about the tragedy on a GoFundMe campaign to help cover medical costs. According to him, when the crowd crushed them, Ezra was sitting on his shoulders. Treston Blount fainted away and awoke to discover that Ezra had vanished.
Ezra was swiftly discovered in a hospital, severely injured.
According to the family’s lawsuit, which was filed against Scott and Live Nation, the young boy suffered severe brain, kidney, and liver damage after being “kicked,” “stepped on,” and “pushed to death,” with his survival mostly owing to luck.
“This should not have been the outcome of taking their son to a concert,” Crump and his co-counsel said in a statement, referring to the parents’ loss.
“Ezra’s death is devastating. We are dedicated to obtaining answers and justice for the Blount family. However, tonight we stand in support of the family, who are grieving and praying together.”

Baig had intended to purchase a house for his parents before the month was out. He was honored in Colleyville, Texas, on November 7th.
“It’s not going to happen any more. To wake up and not be able to hear his voice, to touch him, to kiss him, or tell him how much we loved him is something I’ll never have the opportunity of doing again,” Mirza Ammar Baig, his brother, said. It’s not just that he died this way. “The manner in which he departed this world is unjust.
On Friday, Rodolfo “Rudy” Peña, 23, was laid to rest in Laredo, Texas. “As a young girl, she was introduced to dancing and it became her passion. Now she’s dancing her way to heaven’s pearly gates,” reads a GoFundMe tribute on behalf of Rodriguez, which describes her as “gorgeous” and “vibrant.”
Approximately 300 persons were assisted on the festival grounds, and 13 were hospitalized. Although the catastrophe occurred at night, warning signs – such as breaches in fences, aggressive crowd behavior, and injuries that required hospital transportation – cropped up throughout the day.
